Monitor from where your users are

Vigiles currently runs from fourteen dedicated locations, with new regions in Europe and the Americas planned. Every location is a dedicated instance with its own Elastic IP, not a shared probe sitting on borrowed infrastructure.

You choose which locations each monitor runs from. A check from Tokyo runs from Tokyo. A check from Sydney runs from Sydney. You see the same path your users take, not an average smoothed out across a continent.

Run your monitoring from the wrong place and you get the worst of both. You miss real outages because a distant node still sees green, and you get false alarms from long-haul latency that none of your users would ever notice.

Vigiles confirms a failure across more than one location before it opens an incident, so one bad network path does not page you for nothing. You get alerted when something is actually wrong, in a place your users actually are.
