Workspace billing explained in plain terms
We hear the same question after someone sets up their first monitor. If the account is free, what are we paying for?
The answer is workspaces. Not seats on a single shared bucket of limits.
Your production workspace might need Pro. Thirty-second checks, five team members, AI postmortems. Your staging workspace can stay on Free with fifteen monitors and email alerts only.
You switch between them in one login. Each workspace bills independently. Cancel one without touching the other.
That model matches how teams actually run infrastructure. Production is not staging. A client project is not your internal tools. Splitting them should not mean buying three subscriptions to three tools.
If you are evaluating Vigiles, start with one workspace on Free. Add a second when you need isolation. Upgrade either one when the limits start to bite.
